Home Data: Builders provide home details including addresses, appliance specifications, warranty information, paint colors, and materials. This data is associated with your home profile.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, and AI assistant conversations.

Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system, browser type, and IP address for security and analytics purposes.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the TarePoint platform
• Send transactional emails including invitations, warranty alerts, and maintenance reminders
• Respond to your questions and support requests
• Protect the security and integrity of our platform
• Power the AI home assistant with your home data to provide personalized answers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Your builder: Builders who deployed your home profile can see home details and manage warranty claims.
• Household members: People you invite to your household can access shared home data.
• Service providers: We use trusted third-party services for hosting, email delivery, and AI processing.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), row-level security for multi-tenant data isolation, secure password hashing, and audit logging of data access. Access tokens are stored in memory only and refresh tokens use HTTP-only cookies.

We retain your account and home data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Builder-provided home data may be retained in anonymized form.

TarePoint sends transactional emails related to your account and home, including invitation emails, warranty expiration alerts, and maintenance reminders. These emails are essential to the service and are sent based on your builder's deployment of your home profile.

You may unsubscribe from non-essential email notifications at any time by updating your notification preferences in your account settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email. Certain account-related emails (password resets, security alerts) cannot be opted out of.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@tarepoint.com.
